The two people you'd be working with
Compound Growth is run by Timo Schoenen and Giovanni Orzes. Timo leads the demand side, Giovanni the systems side. Channel execution runs through agency partners we choose, brief and hold to numbers.
Both of us are based in Italy, and we work with companies in Germany, Spain and the US.
Timo Schoenen
External Head of E-Commerce
Timo leads the demand side: growth strategy, search and email, your agency partners and the weekly numbers. He has five years of experience in e-commerce: online retail in a regulated category, automotive, beauty and spirits. Since Q2 2024 he has led e-commerce for a German online retailer in a category where paid ads are restricted. He runs House of Gatsby's online business together with Giovanni.

Giovanni Orzes
CTO
Giovanni leads the systems side: platform, integrations, data and automation. A full-stack developer with six years of experience, he has worked in manufacturing and in e-commerce across beauty, health, vapes, jewelry and spirits. He built a stock and warehouse system that keeps WooCommerce and Shopify in sync, rebuilt its picking in ten days, and replaced a 45-minute manual reorder routine with an automated one. He runs House of Gatsby's online business together with Timo.

Who leads what
Which of us leads depends on what's actually broken at your company. When it's demand (growth, search, email, retention, the partners), Timo leads. When it's systems (platform, data, integrations, automation), Giovanni does.
Small on purpose
Timo and Giovanni do the work themselves: no account managers, no juniors. We coordinate specialist partners rather than run every channel in-house. We built our own automation and AI tools, and they do much of the production work: that is how the two of us cover the whole role. Part-time by design: two senior people, not a department. We work with a small number of companies at a time.

Head of Sales and Legal
Luisa leads the first call, with Giovanni there for the technical side, and handles your questions on sales and legal matters.
What we won't do
We don't run paid media as a service, and we don't sell a website on its own. We don't make ourselves hard to replace: everything we build is documented, handed to you, and set up in your accounts or transferred to you. In regulated categories we take the compliant route only.
